The Opportunity

We are seeking a Junior Civil Litigation Associate to capture and grow a steady stream of high-quality leads. This role is perfect for a "hungry" attorney with 1–2 years of experience who wants to be in the courtroom rather than stuck behind a desk doing document review. You will handle a variety of civil matters with a focus on high-margin landlord-tenant disputes, collections, and general District Court litigation.

Key Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years in private practice (District Court experience is required).
• Practice Areas: Exposure to Landlord-Tenant (Landlord side), Debt Collection, Foreclosure, HOA, or Small Claims.
• The "Grit" Factor: We value life experience. Candidates with a background in manual labor, military service, or working through school are highly encouraged to apply.
• Independence: Ability to know when to "run with it" and when to ask for guidance.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of general civil litigation matters.
• Represent clients in court frequently; handle hearings, motions, and trials.
• Vet and develop leads to build a sustainable, high-margin practice area.
• Collaborate with senior partners while maintaining the autonomy to drive cases forward.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Bar License.
• Strong references.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening (urinalysis).

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000+ (Commensurate with experience/qualifications).
