The Opportunity

We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join a busy transactional practice. This role is ideal for a proactive attorney who wants to move beyond document review and into the heart of real estate deals. You will support a wide range of matters including land acquisition, development, leasing, and sophisticated financing for commercial and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Management: Assist in all phases of commercial real estate transactions from inception to closing.
• Document Drafting: Prepare and negotiate purchase agreements, commercial leases, and financing documents.
• Due Diligence: Manage title reviews, surveys, and environmental reports to ensure smooth closings.
• Client Advisory: Work directly with developers, lenders, and investors to provide strategic legal guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years of commercial real estate or transactional experience preferred.
• Education: Strong academic credentials and a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Licensed to practice in North Carolina (or eligible to waive in).
• Skills: Sharp attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and a "team-player" mindset.

Salary Range: --- $175,000 to $200,000 DOE
