Role Overview

The firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of experience to join its robust litigation practice. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving business litigation, intellectual property disputes, real estate litigation, and complex commercial matters. This role offers significant hands-on experience, including direct client interaction and the opportunity to participate in all phases of the litigation lifecycle in both state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Lead and support all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigation, case strategy, and risk assessment.
• Drafting & Filing: Prepare high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Courtroom & Advocacy: Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions; assist senior counsel in trial or arbitration proceedings.
• Research: Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex statutory and regulatory issues.
• Client Relations: Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing regular updates and strategic legal advice.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Active member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bar.
• Skills: Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills; proficiency with Westlaw/LexisNexis and modern document management systems.
