The Opportunity
A premier North Carolina law firm is seeking a high-caliber Litigation Paralegal to support a sophisticated civil litigation and government relations practice. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing complex files involving public officials and high-stakes state and federal matters.
Core Responsibilities

Case Management: Oversee the full litigation lifecycle for civil and criminal matters in state and federal jurisdictions.

Document Drafting: Prepare discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and routine legal correspondence.

Electronic Filing: Manage document preparation and execution for E-Courts and CM/ECF filing systems.

Docketing: Maintain strict calendar control for court hearings, deadlines, and statutes of limitations.

Trial Prep: Organize exhibits, prepare hearing binders, and manage document productions.

Client Relations: Serve as a professional liaison between the firm, public officials, and court personnel.

Record Review: Perform detailed proofreading, redacting, and analysis of legal records and evidence.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Civil Litigation (Criminal Law experience is a plus).

Procedural Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the North Carolina Rules of Civil Procedure.

Technical Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with electronic filing (NC Odyssey/E-Courts) preferred.

Education: Paralegal Certificate or Degree from an ABA-approved program preferred.
