Our client, a well-respected boutique law firm in Raleigh/Cary area, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal looking to take on significant responsibility and contribute directly to the success of a growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plaintiff's personal injury litigation and be comfortable managing a substantial caseload from day one. Superb compensation!


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 20-25 cases in various stages of litigation.
  • Prepare and file pleadings and other legal documents, including e-filing.
  • Oversee summonses, ensuring proper service of complaints.
  • Draft, answer, supplement, and serve discovery.
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
  • Draft motions, affidavits, notices of deposition, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare medical expense charts.
  • Maintain deadlines and calendaring system.
  • Review and proofread legal documents.
  • Draft correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, medical providers, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Prepare disbursement statements.
  • Manage client files, ensuring documents are organized and saved appropriately.
  • Assist and participate in trials.


Qualifications:

  • Significant experience handling plaintiff's personal injury litigation.
  • Strong and proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work product.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Compensation Package:

  • Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000
  • Potential for a substantial discretionary bonus based on firm performance
  • 100% paid full benefits package for employee
  • Eligible for SEP participation with substantial contribution from firm
